It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the Fiji Embassy's website. Like other sites of the same nature we hope you will be served well in terms of the information that you hoped to get on Fiji in general as well as the work we do as a diplomatic mission in Jakarta for the interested.

Very briefly for now, we established our mission in Jakarta officially on April 6, 2011 following agreement of the government of the Republic of Indonesia. This is to ensure that not only Fiji's interest in Indonesia and South East Asia in general is better served but the cordial and amicable relations we have had since we established diplomatic relations in 1974 is strengthened and grown to our mutual benefits as well. Indonesia also has a Mission in Suva, the capital of Fiji since 2002.
